What is meant by priority filing dates for the CSU and UC?
There is a one-month period of time when applications are first accepted for a specific term at the CSU and UC. Please refer to the Dates and Deadlines of the CSU and UC applications for prioritizing filing dates. Please note the deadlines for impacted institutions such as San Diego State University. Even though CSU application indicates that applications are first accepted at the beginning of the month, the application-filing period for impacted campuses are only during the first month. Please visit the transfer center or speak with a counselor for further details.
– (top) There is a one-two month period of time when applications are first accepted for a specific term at the CSU and UC. Generally, the filing period for fall admission is during October and November of the previous year for the CSU and during November for the UC. Please refer to the application information.
Usually, if a student wants to transfer in the Fall semester, the application must be filed between November 1 and 30 of the previous year for priority consideration. Applying to a CSU for Spring, the application would be filed between August 1 -30 for priorty. Some UC universities only admit fall students. Note: Sometimes universities will extend their period for accepting application so check with the Transfer Center or a counselor for the most up-to-date information.
