What is multitasking and whats wrong with it?
Multitasking is the practice of working on two or more significant tasks in the same timeframe in a manner that is characterized by shifting back and forth between them before finishing either. Task A, while started, is idle, while task B is tended to and vice versa. From the perspective of the chains with which these tasks are associated, multitasking simply delays the ability of successor tasks to start. This results in each of the tasks taking close to (and often more than) the amount of time it takes for all of them to be completed. Multitasking multiplies project lead times.
