A nickelodeon was an early jukebox that got its name from being able to play a tune for just a nickel. However, the most famous Nickelodeon is now a major cable network owned by Viacom. It is known for variety and game shows like You Can’t Do That On Television, Double Dare, Nick Arcade, GUTS, All That, Kenan & Kel, and Legends of the Hidden Temple. But it is best known for its Nicktoons, especially Doug, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko’s Modern Life, Hey Arnold!, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
