What is physics like at A-level?

It is a big step up, all the sciences are really compared to GCSE. But the physics course is really good, especially the quantum physics. I haven’t taken maths with it and its been fine, I think as long as you have good grade at GCSE you should be able to manage. The ISA’s are more difficult than GCSE and you need to learn more of the How Science Works crap for them. You also do PSA’s throughout the year which are practicals that go towards your final mark. A lot of the mechanics unit in AS level, is covered briefly in the Extension unit at GCSE so its helpful to have done the Extension if you are considering A-Level but its not a big deal if you haven’t I really love physics and I think it helps to be passionate about it, if you are going to carry it on. Yes it is difficult, but it is worth it at the end of the day.
