There are quite a few different professional teeth whitening methods that include lazors etc, but essentially they all are a peroxide-based treatment that removes stains from the teeth, leaving them more translucent (not truly bleaching the teeth, but rather deep cleaning). The deep cleaning process can weaken the enamel since it has to go beneath the enamel to work.
