What is so special about polymer clay and Super Sculpey?
Polymer Clay is a petroleum based polymeric material. All Sculpey clays are certified non-toxic and approved to use the AP non-toxic seal by The Arts & Creative Materials Institute (ACMI), and are therefore safe around children and pets. As described on our Sculpture page, Super Sculpey is a superior material to work with compared to natural clay, due to its malleability, non-drying nature and ability to hold very fine detail without slump. Althouigh it is more expensive than natural clay, its benefits far outweigh the additional cost.
