What is Southern States Dachshund Rescue?
Southern States Dachshund Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit organization that seeks to rescue dachshunds from shelters, puppy mills, and owner surrenders to find them safe, permanent homes. All dachshunds that come in to SSDR will see a licenced vetrinarian to be brought up to date on shots, have a heartworm and fecal check, have theeth cleaned and be spayed or neutered if needed. Any other vetrinary care they may need is also taken on by SSDR. SSDR will then actively look for a forever home for a rescued dachshund.
