What is Teeth Whitening, Tooth Whitening or Bleaching?
Teeth whitening is the process of deep cleaning teeth to remove stains that have seeped into teeth pores over time and cause teeth to lose their translucent glow. Carbamide peroxide is used to deep cleanse the tooth pores and open up the teeth so that the stains can be removed. This can cause sensitivity and damage to the enamel over time and should not be done over a long period of time.
Teeth whitening or teeth bleaching generally considered as the same thing. But according to FDA the term ‘bleaching‘ is used where the teeth whitening is done beyond its natural level. The products like hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide contains the bleach. While the term ‘teeth whitening’ means restoring the natural color of the teeth by removing stains and dirt.
