3-D Secure is a method developed by the credit card providers to improve the security of internet payments by authenticating the cardholders. The system developed for Mastercard users is called “SecureCode”, the one for Visa holders is “Verified by Visa”. In case your bank supports the 3-D Secure protocol, you will only need to fill in a short registration page during your first secure payment.
