Monkey Merge requires other third party software for some of it’s features. For example, if you are merging excel xls files, you will need Microsoft Excel installed. If you are merging Word Documents, you will need Microsoft Word installed. If you do not have these components installed, you may receive an error message “Active X component cannot create object”. For more inforamtion on required third party applications, please see HERE Sometimes Monkey Merge may output an error message “Word must be installed”. This can be caused by third party applications. For example, the word plug-in “Redaction” will cause Monkey Merge to fail. Uninstalling such plug-ins and then running the operation again will fix this issue.
