What is the amount of the Scholarship?
Generally, $1,000 has been awarded for post-high school studies in science, technology, engineering, math or vocational/trade training. In the past, winners, along with a parent ormentor, have flown to Washington DC as our guests to attend a multi-day celebration that includes panel discussions, banquets and a tour of the City.
Individuals can receive up to $1,000 in scholarship funds, and multidisciplinary teams up to $5,000. (A multidisciplinary team consists of individuals from various disciplines collaborating to assist victims. One example of such a team would be a SART, or Sexual Assault Response Team, which typically consists of a prosecutor, a victim advocate, a forensic nursing or medical practitioner, and a law enforcement officer). No single discipline can be represented more than once within the team. Each team member must fill out an application. Individual applications CANNOT be duplicates of one another, nor completed by the same person for the entire team.
