What is the application process?
Applicants should submit an Application for Admission, $40 (non-refundable) application fee, and official college/university transcripts from each institution previously attended. Once the applicants file is complete, all the materials will be reviewed. A degree plan will be prepared to show the placement of the previously completed courses and the courses needed to complete the degree program.
The Sawmill Lofts live/work spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis to qualified applicants. To increase your chances of securing a live/work space, you should complete the application process as soon as possible. Applicants need to complete a rental application, and attend an orientation about the Sawmill Lofts and living on the Sawmill Community Land Trust, which are offered twice a month. After completing the rental application and an orientation, applicants will then be scheduled to meet with the property manager to verify income, to determine eligibility and rent, check references, and sign a lease. Applicants will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis after all components of the application process have been completed.
After you’ve run a life insurance quote, you can then select a company that meets your needs and request an application online. Someone from our office will then call you to gather additional information and schedule a medical exam. The exam can be completed at your home or office at no cost to you. You can also contact us by telephone to request an application. Our insurance advisors will assist you with the process and make it as easy and simple as possible. Completed forms are sent or e-mailed to you for your review and signature. Once we receive all completed forms the application is then sent to the insurance company to go through underwriting.
Interested students must submit an on-line application along with requested support documentation by February 6, 2009. Applicants with completed applications will be scheduled for a personal interview. For a student to be considered for admission to the program, their application & essay must be completed and submitted on line by the stated deadline. Required forms must be completed in their entirety and received in the Office of Civic Education Initiatives (OCEI) by the stated deadline. Four original school transcripts, recommendation forms and three copies must be placed flat and unfolded in 9″x12″ sealed envelopes with the names of the student and the person providing the transcript or recommendation written across the sealed flap on the back of the envelope to be accepted. If one or more of these items are not received in sealed envelopes with the correct number of copies and signatures the application will not be processed. Since this is a live-in position, we must take a very thorough approach to the application process. Candidate couples begin the process by completing online applications. (If you have any difficulties with the online application, please call (717) 520-2300 for assistance.) Applications are reviewed and those considered to be a potential match for the position are contacted for telephone interviews. If the telephone interview indicates a potential match, the candidate couple is invited for an interview and campus visit that includes a stay in the student home (clearances must be attained in order to do so). Through the interview process, if candidates are found to be a potential match, they are asked to participate in an investigation. This process includes: validation of truthful statements in the employment application, financial history check, criminal history and child abuse checks, reference checks, and a visit to the couples home by a private investigator.
