What is the average lifespan of a Cocker Spaniel?
To make a very broad generalization… let’s say 12 or 13 years is about average. Keep in mind that one dog year is roughly equivalent to seven human years. There are definitely people who have had Cockers that have lived to be 15, 16, 17 and even 18 years of age. You can talk to some of them on our forum. But Cockers that make it to 15 are few and far between. 12 or 13 is a more reasonable lifespan to expect from your dog.
