What is the basic systematic makeup of Aibudo?
The beginnings of Aibudo were born of the system of Bojuka Ryu, by which I studied under the tutelage of Robert Leisure. His instructor and Shihan/SOKE of the system was Eddie G. Stewart. The second in line that I was aware of at the time was Garland Bowers. Bojuka RYU was also an eclectic system as truly most systems of today are. The individual techniques of Aibudo coming from Bojuka Ryu, and otherwise, have their origins in (in no certain order of relevance): Han Moo Kwan Tae Kwan Do American Freestyle Karate Chito Ryu Karate, White Crane and Praying Mantis Kung Fu Kodenkan Danzen Ryu Jujitsu Techniques of American Boxing Kenpo and Kempo Aikido Shotokan IsshinRyu Generalized and Aibudo Concept Grappling and the Shinka No Wazas (techniques of my own design, brought about by the trial and error of actual and practical situations of today. If they don’t work, they’re not here.
