What is the best book on Personal Branding?
I’ll start the discussion to get us kicked off. My absolute favorite book on personal branding is “Career Warfare: 10 Rules for Building a Successful Personal Brand and Fighting To Keep It.” by David D’Alessandro. I read this book right before I went back to school to get my MBA and it absolutely pumped me about about going into the business world. I try to read it a couple of times a year just to keep reminding myself of the tidbits I acquired from the book. My favorit chapters include: Rule 1: Try to look beyond your own navel Rule 2: Like it or not, your boss is the co-author of your brand Rule 7: Make the right enemies Rule 9: The higher you fly, the more you will be shot at D’Alessandro does an amazing job with this book, creating tons of “light bulb” moments (as one reviewer describes them).
