What is the best way to transport my chameleon to get it to the vet?
Moving a chameleon is going to be stressful. I recommend that you use a small cardboard box, poke holes in it to hold a dowel thick enough for it to perch on and shove the dowel through one end of the box at a slant to stick into the bottom corner of the box, add another dowel if you desire. Make sure you poke enough holes for ventilation in the box if this is going to be a long trip. Add a few peices of crumpled up paper towel on the bottom of the box to cushion any falls the chameleon may have if the box is bumped or jerked a bit during transport. Place the chameleon in the box and close the top. It will be dark inside the box, and the chameleon should sleep during the trip. be sure you do not bump or drop the box causing possible injury to the chameleon.
