What is the biennial salary review process and what am I required to do for it?
A. Reviews for salary advancement occur once every two years and involve consideration at both the Department and Faculty level. During the review “career progress” increases are awarded on the basis of assessment of your performance over the previous two years. The first biennial review occurs in the January, sixteen (16) months after the start of the appointment. Faculty commencing appointments on a date other than September 1, shall be deemed to have started on the nearest September 1. For example, if you were hired on June 1, 2001, consideration for your first biennial review will commence in January 2003. If, by contrast, you were hired on December 31, 2000, consideration for your first biennial review will commence in January 2002. A.
