What is the Bowling Green Adult Athletic Club?
Adults and teenagers who have mental and/or physical challenges are involved in our Bowling Green Adult Athletic Club (BGAAC). This club is a source for Special Olympic training and competitions as well as various social events. We do something special each month, whether it is dinner and a movie, arts and crafts, having a dance, or attending a sports event. -Youth with mental and/or physical challenges from the age of 6 through high school can attend our summer day camp, “Camp Happy Days”. Camp involves spectacular field trips, fun and games adapted to meet the needs of our campers, arts and crafts, special events, the camp is run by quality staff. -Senior Citizens. We have a grant that provides us with a part-time staff person to work with the elderly and disabled citizens of the Bowling Green Housing Authority, which provides games, prizes, special activities, and recreational outings and trips.
