What is the Business Transformation Initiative?
Mandated in Section 908 of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2009, the business transformation initiative includes at a minimum: development of a comprehensive business transformation plan, with measurable performance goals and objectives, to achieve an integrated management system for the business operations of the Army; development of an enterprise-wide business systems architecture and transition plan encompassing end-to-end business processes and capable of providing accurate and timely information in support of the Army’s business decisions; and implementation of these two plans.
