What Is the Caching Mode?

0

A. Caching mode stores a copy of your GroupWise mailbox on your local drive. This allows you to use GroupWise even if the network is not available. This mode cuts down on network traffic and has the best performance. A connection is made automatically to retrieve and send new messages. All updates are performed in the background so your work is not interrupted. You can use this mode if you have enough disk space on your local drive to store your mailbox. It does not apply to WebAccess. To set up a caching mailbox, click on “File, Mode, Caching.” It takes about 45 minutes to replicate for every 25 megs (or every 25%) of mailbox size.
