What is the capital of Bolivia?

0

The official capital is Sucre (seat of the Judicial branch) but the de-facto and more well known capital is La Paz (seat of the Executive & Legislative branches). It has an international airport, the embassies, many aid organizations and N.G.O.’s and is the headquarters for some of the largest businesses in the country.

They’re both “official” capitals. Sucre is the Constitutional and Judicial capital; La Paz is the Administrative capital. Evo Morales, the current president, is in La Paz, so perhaps you might see that as more “official”. But that doesn’t make the Bolivian Supreme Court any less official with its location in Sucre. By the way, if you think Bolivia is odd with its two capitals, South Africa is even more spread out, with three capitals: Pretoria (executive), Bloemfontein (judicial), and Cape Town (legislative).
