What is the choroid plexus?
Cells that make up the choroid plexus are specialized cells that line the ventricular system. In all other parts of the ventricles, these lining cells are called ependymal cells. These cells in the choroid plexus are highly specialized for making CSF by filtering the blood. To accomplish the task of generating sufficient CSF, choroid plexus tissue receives a large blood supply relative to its size.
