The nearest ski area is about 1.5 km from the Tratterhof. It is the ski area Gitschberg-Jochtal. The ski area around the “Gitsch” – that’s what the beautifully shaped mountain is called by the local people – lies above Maranza/Meransen at an ideal altitude of 1,400 to 2,500 metres. Best snow and slope conditions to both ski and snowboard fans are guaranteed from the beginning of December to Easter due to modern snow grooming machines and artificial snow. In the ski area Gitschberg-Jochtal you find about 44 km of white slopes.
