The difference in colour could be the type of coconut, the process you used / particulate contaminants, oxidization or just a bad colour representation in the photo you referenced. Filtering the oil and/or using a centrifuge may lighten it up. From what I have seen colour varies from transparent to a dark yellowish/brown. I would try filtering it some more.
