What is the consequence of using incorrect fire fighting equipment?
Fire fighting is not for the novice or the freelancer. The line between being part of the solution and being part of the problem is razor thin. To be sure, in an emergency, almost anyone can mount an immediate attack on a fire and be effective. There are fire extinguishers and garden hoses and such that will permit someone actually on scene to make a stop. What is the difference between someone who is effective in an emergency and someone who is ineffective or actually poses a serious risk when trying to help? It might be personal emergency planning, but that’s something better saved for another question, is it not?
