The Int/Ext jumper simply changes where the bondout is powered from. The remainder of the emulator is still powered by the supplied PSU (termed a wallwart or plugpack) and therefore the main emulator supply MUST be present at all times for correct operation of the emulator. With the jumper in the ‘Ext’ position customers to sweep the supply through a range of voltages (for example as if they had a slowly decaying battery) or if they want a supply voltage other than 3.3V or 5V. With the jumper in the ‘Int’ position then the supply voltage can be selected from an internally sourced 3.3V or 5V.
