What is the date code decoder?
The “lot number,” or module lot number, is added to the package of 750 parts following module final test (MFT), and is defined as follows: PPYWWSSSFF, where: Y = Year of MFT (U=1999, A=2000, B=2001, C = 2002, D = 2003, E=2004) WW = Week of MFT SSS = This is the SSS lot of this part through MFT this week. PP, FF = Internal use only – Product and Family codes So lot number P7D32021DX was the 21st lot of part code P7 of family DX through MFT in the 32nd week of (D=) 2003. This module lot number can (with varying degrees of effort and success) usually be used to determine information about the packaging process, the parent wafer lot of the modules, and which box lots (sales to distributors or end-users) to which the parts were assigned.
