What is the difference among shareware, open source software and freeware?

0

Shareware is software provided to users without cost but usually on a trial basis. In some terms of the usage the shareware will expire after x-amt of time has passed. In other instances I’ve seen the shareware software continue to function forever but with certain features turned off until you pay for the software. Freeware is software that is available totally free. Sometimes the person who wrote it will provide a link for you to donate. Open source software is software that is available for users to edit and change the software by way of the source code that comes with the software.
