What is the difference between a blog and a website?
Most websites are coded in HTML. A website coded in HTML allows for a lot of flexibility as far as the design is concerned, and you can integrate other types of technology to the website like Flash or Javascript fairly easily. Blogs are coded differently are more limited as far as the way the design can lay out since all blogs have four main sections – the header, the footer, the sidebar and the main content – however, the content on a blog is very easy to change, and are much more effective for a business that plans on changing their site often or wants their blog to be their main page. There are blogs that look and function more like what seem like a regular website that are built entirely on WordPress – this is a good example of one. However, most companies add a blog page to their website rather than build their entire site on blog software.
