Diamond River Adventures offers both oar-powered or motorized trips. Both types of boats give you an exciting ride through the rapids and visit the same sites along the way. Motor boats are larger than oar boats and can accommodate 12 to 14 people quite comfortably. They are highly unlikely to overturn and travel a little faster than oar boats. They are powered by a small 30-hp engine at the back of the boat. Modern technology has made them quiet and efficient. Motor trips normally have two boats with a maximum of 28 people. Oar boats are smaller than motor boats and can accommodate four to five people. Oar trips spend more time on the river each day and take more days on the river. Our guides will do the rowing. These trips feature nearly the same amenities as the motorized trips, while providing a more intimate experience with the Canyon. They tend to appeal to the more adventuresome. Oar trips normally have four to five boats with no more than 24 passengers in all. It is not unheard
