What is the difference between a National event and a Local event?

They are multi-day events, usually have an event fee and have a block of rooms in a hotel. National events are a great way to meet people from all over and put a face to the people that you have been talking to online. Local events are usually one day events for people in the area but all all welcome. Local events typically have a smaller attendance but some local events draw over 100 people to their events.
