The term “aeronautical” engineer is an older term used to describe an engineer who worked with aircraft. However, today the terms aeronautical engineer and aerospace engineer both refer to a person who deals with all aspects of aviation in earth’s atmosphere and space including propulsion, navigation, aircraft and spacecraft.
