What is the difference between ASSISTED-OPENING knives and AUTOMATIC OPENING knives?

0

Assisted-opening knives require the user to manually start the opening of it’s blade with their hand and then the spring mechanism takes over and completes the 180 opening of the knife. Automatic knives use gravity or an unlocking mechanism (such as a push button) to open them 180 and the hand is not required to touch the blade in order for the knife to fully open.
