What is the difference between branded computer system and non branded computer system?
If you know what your looking for you can get an unbranded computer that has the exact same parts as a name brand computer for less money, you do lose out on tech support and a few extra software packages that you will never use but for most people that is not an issue. In fact if you got a band new name brand computer it would be loaded down with worthless software and the best thing you could do is just reformat the hard-drive before you even start using it. Companies like Dell and Gateway do not manufacture their own parts, they just buy them from someone else and install them for you. And there are not many manufactures out there, processors for example, Intel and AMD are the only consumer brands, GPUs there is Nvidia and ATI etc.
