The difference is in how the data is acquisitioned and presented to the laser. CustomVue LASIK uses the Wavescan to acquire the “fingerprint” or your eye. This interfaces directly with the laser. In “standard” LASIK the patient’s refractive data is programmed manually into the laser. Dr. Behler processes data from both CustomVue and standard LASIK through multifactoral regression analysis.
