What is the difference between equilibrium and dynamic equilibrium?
Equilibrium is a state of rest or balance between powers, due to equal action of opposing forces. The condition existing when a chemical reaction and its reverse reaction proceed at equal rates. Dynamic equilibrium on the other hand is when the rates of the forward and reverse reaction are equal. The system is dynamic because individual molecules react continuously. It is at equilibrium- because no net change occurs.
