What is the difference between Gender Mainstreaming and women empowerment?
Gender Mainstreaming means the process to make the different needs and benefits for women and men transparent in all actions of e.g. an administration. And further on to integrate these aspects into all fields of action. Women empowerment can be a part of Gender Mainstreaming. It means to give women the instruments and the qualification to articulate their perspectives and needs.
