Well, I’m a mom and in college so here it is and FYI I aced Biology 103 in college. Hot blooded animals means that the friction created from blood flowing throughout the body keeps it warm and they can move about freely despite the temp. However, they must seek an external source of heat on very cold days because the cold will eventually zap the body heat if it’s not held close by lots of clothes, fur, feathers. Cold blooded means that they must lie in the direct sun or on a hot rock somewhere in order to absorb the heat they need. Most of these animals have scales or thin skin and no body fat. They move slower on cold days because their bodies get colder faster. The colder temps do not cause them harm like in a warm blooded animal (frost bite; hypothermia) instead it just slows down their life processes.
