What is the difference between O.E.M. and Aftermarket glass?
O.E.M. means Original Equipment Manufacturer or the same brand of glass installed at the automobile manufacturing plant. Aftermarket means any other brand. The United States Department of Transportation requires that all brands of automotive glass meet specific requirements that are equal to the original brand used by the manufacturer.
