What is the difference between route planning and navigation in Maps?
Route planning is a free feature. It calculates and displays a route between two locations. Navigation is an extra service, which is available for purchase. Navigation means that the route is calculated from your current GPS position to a chosen destination. The navigation is voice-guided. The navigation feature can only be purchased for regions for which a navigable map is available. To purchase a navigation license, open the Maps application and select Options > Extra Services > Purchase navigation, confirm the Bluetooth GPS connection, and accept the terms and conditions. Select Purchase, and the region for which you have the license, and select Purchase. A secure data connection is established to the license server When Maps uses a mobile internet connection, large amounts of data may be downloaded to your mobile device, resulting in data transfer costs. See our FAQ on how to keep the costs down, and contact your network operator for more information about your data plan.
