What is the difference between six flags and disney world?

The main difference is that Six Flags is more of a thrill oriented theme park while Disney World focuses on characters, themes, and shows. Six Flags is a chain of parks that focuses on intenese roller coasters and other thrill rides. While Diney World has roller coasters, the emphasis is on the worlds of Disney owned properties, such as Mickey Mouse and Peter Pan.

There are a few differences between the two. The obvious being, six flags isn’t affiliated to any particular brand name. Years ago, it used to feature a lot of Warner Brothers characters, which has not been the case in more recent years. Whereas, Disney World is of course everything Disney that you could possibly imagine.  From your traditional Disney Princesses, the well-known characters from your favorite childhood movies, Marvel and even Star Wars is featured throughout all the parks. Secondly, Six Flags targets an older generation because it’s got the fast rides, the huge falls, and appeals to thrill seekers. Disney on the other hand appeals more to children and families, but that’s not to say that everyone doesn’t love it because it’s pretty amazing. Lastly, I would have to say the experience overall that you would get from the parks is very different. Six Flags is more of a fun thing to do for a day, if you’re looking to get a few butterflies in your stomach and some good greasy food. Disney on the other hand, you get a full experience from the minute you enter the parks everything is decorated, and there is no lack of detail anywhere you go. They trim bushes to look like Disney characters, they serve food in the shape of mickey’s head, there are classic Disney songs playing at every turn, every show is planned to the tee (including the firework shows which are out of this world) and their employees dress the parts as well. So I think they’re both going to provide a great time, but Six Flags is more of a theme park you would visit just to get out and do something for the day and Disney is a theme park you would go to if you’re looking to make lifelong memories and see something you won’t get anywhere else.
