The BFA is a degree offered through the theater department within the college of Fine Arts. The core courses for that degree are in theater and graduates graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The BMT is offered through the College of Music and its core courses are in music. Graduates of this degree will have a Bachelor of Music Performance. During the course of study BFA students will take approximately 30 hours of Music courses, including 6 credits of voice taken either privately or in a group voice class. The BMT requires a minimum of 74 music credits, including 24 credits of private voice study. Choosing between the two degrees is purely a matter of your own personal emphasis, desires, and needs.
