What is the difference between the Periodic Enrollment Update (EU) and Annual SSID Maintenance (AM)?

0

The Annual SSID Maintenance is a required annual submission whereas the Periodic Enrollment Update is an optional submission. The two submissions differ in terms of the students to be included and the data effective date. • Students to be included: The Annual SSID Maintenance must include all currently enrolled students and all exited students (including graduates and dropouts) for whom an exit date and exit reason have not yet been submitted, whereas the LEA chooses the records to include in the Periodic Enrollment Update (EU) transmittals based upon which records the LEA wishes to update. Typically Periodic Enrollment Updates are used to submit changes in enrollment status, but can also be used to update demographic data or program participation status. Refer to the “Scope” tab of the Data Submission Requirement documents for each submission for more details about the students to be included. The Data Submission Requirements may be accessed under the Data Submission Requirements sect
