What is the difference between the various models of receiver collars?
We offer four models of receiver collars for the PetSafe Underground Fence systems. Each receiver can be purchased separately, and is also packaged with the Underground Fencing complete kits: The Standard receiver (Item UL-250, comes with PRF-3004W (formerly RF-3004) Series fences). This collar has a single level of correction. It will sound a warning tone, and if the dog does not retreat from the fence, it will give a static shock. It is best suited for medium-sized dogs due to the single correction level. It weighs only 1.3 oz and takes a 6-volt battery module. It does not have a low-battery light. The Deluxe UltraLight receiver Item UL-275M, comes with PRF-304 (formerly RF-3006) Series fences). This receiver has 5 levels of correction. It weighs only 1.3 oz, and uses a common 3-volt lithium battery (CR2032). It has a low-battery light. This is a great receiver for a small dog, or even a cat. (None of the collars should be used on an animal weighing less than 8 lbs, however.) A Level
