Each of Canada’s 117 United Ways–Centraides are autonomous, operated by a voluntary Board of Directors within the community it serves. The organizations work locally to address prevalent social issues and improve living conditions and quality of life within their specific area. While the issues each Canadian United Way face may vary, the purpose that drives them is the same: to strengthen communities and improve the quality of life of Canadians.
