What is the difference between urban and suburban Americans?
Urban people live in large cities. Suburban people live on the fringes of the city or in towns surrounding larger cities. It would be a generalization to say that their attitudes and cultures are different, but if I were to generalize, I would say the urban dwellers choose to live there because they like the excitement of the busy environment. They enjoy having lots of different activities to choose from and would be bored without the hectic pace of the city. People often choose to live in suburban areas when they are concerned about higher crime rates in cities. They often are have children and don’t want their children going to large urban schools. These are also individuals who like a more relaxed and quiet lifestyle. Again, this is a generalization as everone is different.
