What is the difference in practical terms?
The U.S. version comes with a clock and can syncronise with WMP enabling it to upload and play DRM protected music, such as you buy from Napster and iTunes. The U.S. version is not supposed to support usb on the go (usbotg) that allows the player to download files from digital cameras, usb memory sticks and other portable devices without a pc. The U.S. version comes with (at the moment) firmware 1.02. There are no official links to this version of the firmware so it is sort of not possible to change back to the U.S. firmware, but there is a link here http://medulla.co.uk/images/H340/H300-firmware/ If you do change the firmware to k or eu and then back to U.S. you will not be able to play DRM files again.
