What is the differences between a male and female velociraptor skeleton?
There is no evidence for sexual dimorphism (difference between males and females) in Velociraptor (or any dinosaur), yet. It may have been a difference in feather/skin color. Modern raptors (birds of prey) exhibit sexual dimorphism where the female is larger than the male. So, there is one way to tell the difference between a male and female Velociraptor skeleton. If scientists do histology (cut bones into thin sections mounted on a microscope slide), they may be able to see something called medullary bone. This is a special extra layer of internal bone that is built up by female birds just before and during egg laying. T. rex was found to have this. This is good evidence of birds and dinosaurs being closely related and the only way we can tell a male from a female dinosaur.
