What is the diffrence between Czech Glass Beads and Asian Glass Beads?

Often glass beads from India and China will have white powder on them. When looking at the hole it should be clear – no white lining on the inside of the beads. Other than that the beads are often not exactly the same seize. So the beader has to sort them to use them. Another thing I have noticed over the years is, that some times there are color variations. Also please keep in mind, that the people making them are not paid well and work under miserable conditions – my friend has been to both countries and has told me horror stories. I have been to the factories in the Czech Rebulic – ware houses, offices and the actual production area. Those workers seemed to have a decent work enviornment and the workers looked well. We choose to only sell Czech and Vintage German Glass beads in our store Never Too Many Beads for the same reasons.
