What is the element provided for in RFC 3733?

0

In RFC 3733 (Contact Mapping) the element is introduced as the privacy mechanism for contacts. Under the RFC, the registry will disclose the default disclosure policy on contacts when establishing a session with a client. If the registry?s Data Collection Policy allows, when an object is created or updated, the client can specify contact attributes that require exceptional disclosure handling using the optional element. This must be in conformance with the announced policy in the element or it will be rejected by the registry. The v.07/05 ccTLD system does not support the element; however the new EPP v.1.0 system will introduce support for this optional element in contact mapping. Clients that do not implement this feature should work as is, since this element is optional.
